Castle Hardware is Birmingham’s leading hardware wholesaler, offering a vast array of over 20,000 products for the building, plumbing and electrical trades. Being a wholesaler, the company’s focus is on offering great value for money.
So, when it came to print costs for their wholesale catalogues the company was naturally interested in value for money and saving on print costs wherever possible. They teamed up with Print Strategy Europe to help with this and got a whole lot more than that.
Print Strategy suggested improvements in three main areas – reducing the width of their catalogues to fit in with Royal Mail guidelines; changing their postage supplier to ensure the best possible postage rates; and improving the quality of the print and material used to increase response rates.
The results are impressive as Castle Hardware is now saving thousands of pounds on their printed material. Despite increasing mailing quantities, they have achieved a minimum annual postage saving of £6,031 and they are enjoying the best customer responses for over two years.
